The timber for this charcoal was sourced from a single tree with an estimated age of 200 yrs, growing in a traditional parkland setting. The tree was in decline and felled on H&S grounds
We were very fortunate to be offered the smaller branches from the tree by the owner who was interested in seeing if it would make a good charcoal.
The answer is a resounding YES! It lights easily, gets up to temperature reasonably well and does so with glass-cracking sounds. Producing a sweet yet delicate scent as it burns. Great with sausages, burgers and chicken.
This charcoal is sure to be popular and won’t be around for long.
